Micro Jig - Micro Jig Grr-Rip Push Block

A push pad or block is essential to working safely on the jointer or router table. For years, I’ve used inexpensive foam-backed versions that I buy online. These pads work OK, but they lose traction over time, and I lose peace of mind. Now Micro Jig has changed the game with its Grr-Rip Block. This puppy has bite. The bottom is a durable, studded rubber surface that holds strong. But for added pushing power, the block has hooks on each end that automatically lower to lip over and grab the back end of a workpiece. The hooks can be removed or retracted and locked so they won’t get in the way when jointing thin stock. An accessory blade and bit guard is available for $13. You’ll pay three times as much for these push blocks as you will for the cheaper versions, but they are well worth it.

Clean sawdust residue from push pad with denatured alcohol. This easily restores original grip.
