White Oak Carved Vessel

Like many frugal woodworkers, Colley says he has a hard time tossing out scraps. After building a dining table out of white oak, he was left with various pieces. So he made this vessel (6 in. deep by 12 in. wide by 3 in. tall) and gave it to a client. Although carving is not often on Colley’s to-do list, he says he got great pleasure working on the surfaces of this vessel.
