The Belsky Bar
This bar started as a small wine rack and it kept growing. There are 6 components to the project. The base, the central wine rack, the two tall cabinets on the side, the top cabinet, and the mirror frame. Each piece had to fit togethe rlike a jigsaw puzzle. It had to be constructed in pieces to allow transport to the client;s site, and to allow the piece to be taken apart for moving. The pieces screw together, fitting like a glove so that it appears as one piece when it is assembled. The whole project is made of maple, stained and finished with 3 coats of amber shellac. The 8 cabinet doors are pushed released The most difficult part was getting the mirror frame to fit exactly inside the 4 other pieces once it was assembled.
