Doug Stowe has been making boxes for more than 30 years, and over that time he has perfected his techniques for designing and building them. A box is a great way to showcase a prized piece of figured wood. In this episode of his video workshop on making boxes, Stowe shows how to get the most out of that wood by resawing thick boards into thinner workpieces. Resawing is a great way to yield more from a figured board. In this video you’ll learn how to do it using a tablesaw and a bandsaw.

I have watched and enjoyed the many topics videoed by Mr. Junken but I have to give a dislike to this video series. I have a problem in that excessive camera movement makes me motion sick. I watched snipits of each video in this series and found the same in each. In fairness, I compared other video series shot by Mr. Junken and found the camera motion not to be a problem. It appears to be only this series.
