Trick for Mixing Two-Part Epoxy
Mixing two-part epoxy in small quantities always presents a couple of small headaches: finding a small container and then getting the ratio correct. To overcome both problems, I use a scrap of 3⁄4-in. plywood to create a small container. At the drill press, I use a Forstner bit to bore a stopped hole roughly large enough to suit the amount of epoxy that I need. To mix the epoxy, I count the veneers to measure the amounts of Part A and Part B that I’m adding to the reservoir. Then I simply mix the epoxy with a small stirring stick and the job’s done.
