Constructing Kitchen Cabinets
How to Make Kitchen Cabinets
Fox Chapel Publishing, 2010 and 2011.
$19.95; 144 pp and $24.95; 256 pp.
These 2 books will cover the bases for your kitchen design and installation. Back to Basics: Constructing Kitchen Cabinets gives you basic info about layout and design; casework; doors and drawers; installation and countertop choices. How to Make Kitchen Cabinets is a collection of articles from past issues of American Woodworker. These articles cover the same topics as Back to Basics, but a little more thoroughly and the book also includes a separate chapter on hinges and hardware and has a chapter with kitchen projects including custom made crown molding, a kitchen stool, and an appliance garage. So if you are ready to make a new kitchen, these books might be right for you.
