Hello, I am new to the Forum here. This is the top to an entertainment center that I made. Im still working on Designs to keep my builds affordable. I wouldn’t try this again , but i built the whole unit out pine.
So if you can see the picture, my thoughts are to make a detailed ribbon to wrap around the bottom 1/2″ of the top. I think it might work. At the same time im not particularly happy with the overall results. I think i should spare the $40 of material and rebuild the top. (This was my first attempt at this type)
But i really want to see what others think. I welcome all feedback, and it’s an honor to be apart of this community! Thank you

Keep it simple, no ribbon.
It looks like you have enough of an overhang to put a small chamfer on the underside of your top.
I'm inclined to go with the idea of a chamfer along bottom side..
I think this is a good idea.
Agree with Uinamy, go on.
Like Gale52 said, keep it simple. But certainly don't start over. Finish the project, put it to use, learn from it. I'd still be working on my first set of bookcases I started ever project over when it went south.
That said, I think it looks great!
Like BenStrano said, don't scrap it. Heck, turn it upside-down or on its long end and maybe an idea will come to you.
Besides, what would you think of it if it was made of, oh, cherry.
