This model scored high in the torque and power tests, and its knurled-metal, single-sleeve chucks are easier to grip than the plastic kind. The Ridgid is the only drill-driver tested that charges two batteries at a time, and takes only a half-hour for each. It comes with an auxiliary handle for big jobs, but the drill-driver is too heavy for delicate woodworking tasks.
