Live Edge Side Table
comments (1) December 30th, 2008 in Reader's GalleryThis side table combines a poplar live edge top with black walnut legs with through tenons and bloodwood accents. The ends of the top are slightly concave with walnut and bloodwood inlay matching the curve. Bloodwood wedges are also used in the through tenons. On the underside of the table top inlayed bands of walnut were used to reinforce a small crack in the edge of the board. The table measures 5 feet long, 30 inches high, and 22 inches at its widest point. The finish is tung oil and a beeswax and linseed oil finish on the top surface.
