I designed this shaker desk after a photo that i saw.  With the size and general shape i changed the general feel to a more contemporary look.   I turned the four legs with an off-center taper from the bottom to the top.  The taper is sharper on the inside of the desk.  The Maple that i used was finished with a clear shellac that i tinted with an antique dye.  I then buffed out the sheen with super-fine steel wool and an antiqued tined wax.
