This is a maple and cherry, Krenov style smoother with a walnut wedge.  45' bed angle for a Hock  1 3/4" iron.  Walnut handled adjusting hammer with a brass head and a walnut tip.  Cuts like butter.

With much help from David Finck's Making and Mastering Wood Planes.

For my brother.

I have five commercial planes (Stanley and one Record) but I will reach for my self-made planes every time. I may have to buy some Hock blades for the commercial just to get them to match my handmade planes. Congratulations on a job well done. I know that your brother will cherish it.
