I am new to the world of woodworking, and I am definately hooked. This is my third project with many to come. This box is made of mahogany, myrtle burl, and macassar ebony. Its dimensions are 8"x 5"x 4". I enjoyed making this box for this contest. I just can't help but think how much nicer this could have come out if I only had a better tablesaw. Just Jokin' Good luck to the winner.

We all start at the same place ....knowledge of zero .... and the passion to learn, explore and stretch yourself is what matters at the end of the day.
Take the time to go slow ..... be safe ..... read and ask questions .... try new things ...... cripes .... I'm waxing philosophical again. Do your thing Ryan and have fun!
I have been at this for over 10 years now ..... and my own third project was burned in the fireplace because of it was horribly ugly. :)
Stay with it Ryan ..... this is a fine box and I'm sure there are many better to come someday.
