African Teak Hand Rail

Tje rail was a installed on a stairway that was forced into a very small area. This is a 180 degree turn with winders.

tmclain tmclain writes: Thanks for asking. This was cut from solid wood using the tangent handrail system. Tangent hand railing came about in the 1800's. I am not sure who came up with it originally but it is a method of work that doesn't require anything more than hand tools. It was how curved work was done before CNC routers or bent lamination.
