Matt’s clients asked him to come up with a design for a sideboard that would complement their traditional, somewhat Colonial palette while incorporating a darker wood species other than walnut. They landed on sapele with a stain, accented by antique brass ring pulls and hand-cut brass molding on the doors and drawer faces. He hung the drawers using Chris Gochnour’s side-hung drawer technique from FWW #277.
