Cherry Record Console
The design was inspired by designs various Mid Century modern designers and from FWW contributor Michael Robbins. 5/4 Quarter sawn black cherry was used to create the main box of the record console. Black cherry is used throughout for the base and turned legs. The black cherry frame and panel back used book matched solid wood panels. A brass bushing is used to trim out the cable pass through. Finally, it is sanded throughout to 400 grit and then oil finish was applied. The finish is based on Christian Becksvoort’s process for finishing cherry.
