This project was designed to explore the relationship of a floating table top with legs rotated 45º. The legs and rails are made from walnut. The rails are joined with a bridal joint and attached to the legs with mortise and tenon joints. The details on the legs were developed primarily on the table saw. Triangle cut-outs in the table top are to reinforce the diagonal location of the legs and add interest.
