This is a small-ish box that I built entirely using handtools. I do not have my usual power tools, so I had to x-cut, rip and plane to thickness all of the pieces for this box. The wood is walnut and the veneer is curly maple from Certainly wood in NY. All of the joints for the carcass and drawers are hand cut dovetails. The shelves are set into dados and dovetails in the stepped portion. I had a good friend spin the knobs for me. They are painted maple.
