Walnut slab and ash dining table

Overall view of table.
I finished and delivered this dining table just before Christmas. The top is one large live-edge slab of Bastogne walnut and the base is made of ash. It is 9′ 4″ long, 39 – 41.5″ wide and 30″ high. The slab finished out at 2″ thick.

The Bastogna walnut slab is so alive with grain and figure. The lighter colored sapwood makes for a nice contrast.

Very fresh design; thought provoking. Love your website and the portfolio. I also love to incorporate curves where appropriate in my work. I know they can be a challenge to work with, but your pieces make them look like they belong. The curves give your furniture character and movement as well as a sensuous appeal. Very inspiring work.
