Entry Bench

Inspired by an Art Deco bench I saw, I decided to add my own twist to the design. The legs are splayed inward, creating a sense of tension yet leaving a certain elegance, in my opinion at least.

I decided to dowel the bottom of the legs into the lower rail system, so I could have the freedom to shape the legs however I wanted, without having to worry about leaving flats for joinery. The legs start off flat at the top and slowly melt and bend into completely round as they hit the floor.
