Toolbox
Woodworker: Dan Beyer
Beyer’s toolbox is built from 35 species of tropical woods from Africa, Asia, and South America. The box itself was constructed of jatoba plywood. The inside of the lid is Japanese ash, and zebrawood was used extensively for the corner posts and tool holders. Burl edge-banding and a combination of hand-crafted and commercial inlay provide additional decorative elements. It was hand-finished using four coats of Sam Maloof’s poly/oil recipe.
