sideboard with built-in porcelain trivets

This is a sideboard I made for my wife’s birthday. She wanted to use it to serve food at gatherings, so we decided to make it with inlaid porcelain trivets. I am also a potter, so I designed and made the tiles myself. The sideboard itself I designed using a couple of articles from “Fine Woodworking” as guides and inspiration.
