I am building a cone shape maple sink with 2- 1″ walnut inlaid straps.Oh yea there is a door.My problem is what glue to use.I need reasonable work time, contact is to unforgiving, and white glue is to lumpy. I dont have the luxury of a vaccum press.

Hi William,
No vacuum press? Well you can try ironing on the veneer using PVA. That would probably work. But not as well as using a proper press. Darryl Keil, president of Vacuum Pressing Systems, pointed out to me that you could probably iron on using urea resin (because it cures by heat). But he hadnt tried it and subsequently, either have I.
