Just joined up so I got a bit confused to where I post stuff!!!
Can anyone help in advising what I need in my workshop machine wise.
I want to build Boxes for cigar humidores.
Advice on table saws, band saws, sizes I need etc and any thoughts on multi purpose benches where you can strap your power tools to the underside?
Thanks

I would recommend that you invest in a good table saw and jointer planer first. To do quality work, you need good tools. There are lots of bargain basement machines and tools available, but my experience has been that most of these will cause more work and aggravation than they are worth. I know, I've tried the cheap tool route and eventually had to upgrade everything, which only increased my costs (I'm a hobbyist). Start with something like the Delta Unisaw.
As for tables I think you'll find that most gravitate toward similar set ups for practical reasons. What you find in the average home shop is more likely to be similar than different. So don't take my advice, take a look at what other hobbyists do. Scrounge the magazines and forums and come up with your own ideas. Look at some of the mags dedicated to small shop set ups. We all have unique shop requirements, but the common thread through all is quality machinery and tools.
