I have a Stanley 603 that was my dads. I found it a couple years ago and it has been sitting in a drawer ever since. It is pretty rusted but ohterwise in good shape. All the parts are there. My guess is he only used it once once or twice as he wan’t a woodworker. He probably needed to plane a door or something and went and bought it. I have never restored a plane but figure this is a good one to start on. I looked online and was very surprised to see them from $150 – $350! I have no desire to sell it and plan on using it. I’m a power tool guy and only own two other planes. I guess I’m just looking for any tips and sugggestions. I don’t want to ruin it! I plan on searching this site and others before starting but just thought I would throw it out there and see what people say. I also need to look around as I remember seeing a couple other planes around in my youth. I will take a picture this afternoon and post.
Thanks
Dana

Dana,
There's a bunch of stuff on FWW and considerable Knots discussion to search. Here is a link to a rather simplistic but good video:

Have fun!
