Hi!
I unfortunately droped my pretty much brand new smoothing plane in the floor. (I just ate popcorn)
The depth adjustment screw took the worst of the fall. Now the screw is crooked and barely work.
After trying to fix i myself with no great result. Ive called stanleys local office in sweden to make an order for a new depth adjustment screw.
After 30 minutes on the phone and he had looked everywhere for the part. He sad that there isnt any spares for the plane. And I have to buy a whole plane.
Im thinking this is cant be true. It thought a tool like this could last me for many years and be repared if needed to.
Does anyone here know more about this?
Thankful for help in the matter.
Mikael

Delta 26‑2251 Miter Saw
The Delta was another model that you can locate close to a wall. It employs dual articulating arms that save space while yielding good, wide cuts provided you use good technique. The saw is tied for the second-shortest overall footprint. The Delta’s ergonomics were a treat too. Thanks to convenient placement and ease of use, the locks for the miter and bevel stops were superb. Its LED results in a nice, accurate shadow. The dust collection was just slightly lower than the Makita’s, but still quality for a miter saw.

Go onto ebay and find mjdtoolparts. Contact them to see if they have what you need. They mostly handle vintage, but you never know. Good luck.
Bummer. Here's another guy who deals in Stanley replacement parts, also mostly vintage. Surely parts could be shipped to Sweden

from Stanley parts web site has parts for sweetheart #4 plane.
One of the kits may have your part, not very well described what is in each kit. A email to their support site may clarify if your screw is included. Hardware kit looks to most likely be helpful.
If all else fails, go on eBay and look for an older Ward's Master. It might be cheaper than trying to repair your Stanley, and the end result might even be better. I have two Stanley No. 4 type 11s that work fine - one was even tuned up by the seller - and was astonished to find that the Ward's worked just as well, if not better, with the stock Ward's (Stanley?) iron, despite having cost less than half as much (I think I paid $45, including shipping, and I probably could have got it for less). The Ward's also has the large adjuster, which is more convenient than the early, small Stanley one. FYI, fwiw...
The OP has one of the new Stanleys. Not a single part is interchangeable with a Stanley made before about 10 years ago.
Big thanks to all of you!
I will look into the suggestions above.
