Following strong suggestions in an earlier thread, I’ve primed the 2 latest projects before painting (yes, they’re painted, not stained). Great idea! thanks. I brushed it on, pretty easy, but since I’m spraying the paint itself, thought about spraying the B.I.N. also. The instructions on the can aren’t real clear though. They refer only to airless spraying. I use a one-stage HVLP unit. Is there any problem with applying it this way, for future renditions….

I only have experience with the shellac based BIN product - it dries fast and I would suggest a test, HVLP can cause a finish with a fast flash time to be very fast flash.
You could try thinning the BIN shellac based product, if that is what you are using, with some turpentine. I've used turpentine to slow the dry time of 1 pound cut shellac when I' m brushing in a dry and warm environment.
