I was paging through issue #104 of FWW and I noticed an ad on page 31. In the ad, it had a picture of George Reid at the age of 78. On his left, there is a Queen Anne Highboy that looks to be about 1/4 scale.
Is there a source for 1/4 scale hardware? My gut feeling is that nobody carries this and I will have to learn how to make my own.
Has anyone made a highboy this size? Is it 1/4 size? I’m thinking this would make a nice jewelry box for my wife. ( I suppose I will have to buy her some jewelry then ).
Has anyone made their own hardware?
Thanks,
Bill

There's an entire world of miniature furniture makers out there, a Google search will turn them, and their suppliers, up.
There are a few brands of relatively inexpensive small bench top metal lathes, Taig, Sherline, are both nice, that would allow you to make you own hardware, but for just turning miniature knobs, a piece of brass chucked in any drill or wood lathe could be shaped with just a few files.
