On my Makita LS1011 compound miter saw, there is a sticker that shows the correct miter angle and bevel angle to use for 38 degree crown. These angles are used when laying the crown moulding flat on the saw when cutting, which is much easier than propping it upside down the old fashioned way. Does anyone know how to figure the correct bevel/miter angles if the crown isn’t 38 degrees? Or a book that explains it?

Delta has a nice chart on their website. Here's the link.

Jeff,
Thanks for the info. This chart will help me when the walls aren't 90 degrees to each other, but what if the crown isn't 38 or 45 degrees? The chart doesn't address this. Thanks anyway for the help! I appreciate it!

Either of those websites should help. The Woodbin site has a number of calculators, one of which is for compound miters.
Unless you're the lead dog, the view just never changes.
