I’ve been turning some manzanita and chemise burls into cute little bud vases with an eye towards some extra cash around christmas. They have lots of voids and cracks. I’ve filled some with black and some with off-white epoxy and then turned them. The effect is great.
I’d like to find a source of fillers for epoxy that would add interest. I’d like to find some fine aluminum powders – I’ve seen some that add silver, gold, bronze, or copper tints to cast acrylic or epoxy. I’d also like to find some opalescent and pearlescent powders. I’ve seen them used in gourd art, but I have no idea where to find them and google hasn’t helped much.
Anyone know of suppliers for these types of fillers? Thanks in advance.

There's some stuff called Inlace available at I think Penn State, WoodCraft. Also Lab Metal at industrial supply places is an interesting fill.
