I am trying to locate Carlistle furniture drawings. I was told he drew detailed furniture measurements. Any idea where I can locate his address, sources?

WoodRiver Wheel Marking Gauge No. 154340W
WoodRiver’s deluxe marking gauge is a good-quality disk-cutting gauge, but lacking the O-ring of the Veritas models, it was a tad fussier to set precisely. Also, the etched markings on the shaft were 1/32 in. off the actual distance between cutter and fence.

papa,
If you are referring to Carlyle Lynch's drawings, his grand-daughter is offering them for sale. Her address:
P.O. Box 13007
Arlington TX 76094
Tel:817-861-1619
Catalog $2, ad in FWW classifieds every issue.
I'm not connected to the Lynches, other than having been acquainted with Carlyle, back in the day. His drawings are superb.

Ray Pine
Thanks for the info. I only knew "Carlisle" was in there some place, even spelled incorrectly. I had heard of his drawings but couldn't find any info. Thank goodness for "knots."

papa,
You're welcome. Carlyle Lynch was a local icon, and nationally known, in the woodworking and antique community, and folks still talk about him years after he passed away. He took pains to ensure that all the details needed to build a piece were shown full-size (moldings, special joinery, etc) on the drawings, and the drawings themselves are almost works of art.
He was the draftsman for years for a local furniture company (Virginia Craftsmen) and later in his career, taught industrial arts at a local high school. All the while, he travelled, made acquaintances at museums, and got permission from them and private owners to draw pieces he found interesting. Then he made his own blueprints one at a time with rag paper for the prints, tracing paper for the drawing and exposure to sunlight in a homemade light frame. The furniture pieces he made, especially his clocks, are highly sought after here locally. Quite an interesting character, and a real gentleman of the old, southern type.
Ramble down memory lane over for now,
Cheers,
Ray Pine
Thanks again. I ordered a catalogue and looking forward to building one or more of his pieces.
