I just received the card scraper which was offered to renew my subscription. I filed it and honed it and it works fine. I don’t have much experience with card scrapers so I’m not familiar with the sharpening process. My question is, do I have to go all the way back to filing and honeing every time I want to sharpening it or can I I just knock of the burr with the finer stone and hone it on the same stone and burnish a new burr?

ZABO,
Actually it is simpler than that to resharpen a card scraper.
Just lay the scraper flat on your bench, near the front edge of the bench, and run a burnisher down the side of the scraper so that you are flattening out the burr. Now stand the card on edge and use the burnisher in the normal manner to turn a fresh burr. Usually you can restore the edge on a scraper this way a once or twice before it gets so rough that you have to start over by filing and honing the edge of the card again.
Usually the redone burr is a bit rougher and more aggressive than the first burr turned on a freshly filed and honed edge so it is good for faster stock removal and for removing old finishes, but not for a final scraping before applying a finish. I keep three card scrapers at my bench so that I can choose between them for a burr that is appropriate to the job at hand.
