Yes.
Amazon has them for $10. There was two different bases. One fits Porter Cable the other Bosch style bushings.
I just made my own from 1/4 plex.

THANKS. I ORDERED FROM ROUTERMAN.
My Colt accepts PC bushings, right out of the box. I bought it 4-5 years ago.
I bought mine 2-3 months ago and it doesn't accept P-C bushings also. I need to buy an accessory base plate from my local specialized tool retailer. And since accessories are not cheap, I'm looking around for the best buy I could find for another trimmer that accepts the P-C bushings (up to now = Ridgid). Doing so, I will have another trimmer dedicted to pattern making. As they say, you can never have enough tools !

Serge,
Are you anywhere near Coaticook?

Bob,
According to Yahoo Maps, bit more than 100 miles. Why Coaticook ?

I have a summer cottage about 20 miles from there in St. Hermenegilde(?).
Not a lot of folks in here from Quebec so I was curious how near you are. Nice stuff on your WEBsite.

You must live North of NH since you have a cottage in St-Herménégilde, unless you don't use it very often. By the way, your spelling was right. Why getting a cottage in Quebec ? Since this area is great for hunting, were you attracted for hunting ? Usually people get a cottage South. How many miles do you have to drive to your cottage ? You bought it or did you built it ?

Morning Serge,
I live just 10 miles south of the border in New Hampshire. The family has owned the cottage since 1957 and it's on the Canadian side of a lake that splits the border. I inherited it when my parents passed away a few years ago.
The original cottage was hit by lightning and burned down back in 1970 and a new one was constructed by dad and a carpenter from Quebec. The hunting up there is really great as it is where we have our home, fishing too.
It takes me about ½ hour to get there from home and the plan is to spend the summers there. We also want to make it four seasons comfortable so we can go there anytime, maybe live there at some point.
I think Quebec is one of those jewels that many folks don't really know about.

Hey Bob,
When my godfather was still living we used to go in that area once or twice a year, precisely in Woburn, a little North-East from your cottage. His bother-in-laws had a hunting camp and we were very welcome since we were doing all the repairs and enhancements to their camp. We went there once in winter; they get a lot of snow down there ! But it's a lovely part of the province.
I'm also close to the border, 25 miles from Champlain, NY. Like you did, I spent lots of week-ends and vacations the other side of the border. It seems the grass is more green the other side of the fence, isn't it ? We sure have picturesque countries ! Not only sand !!!
I looked at the map and the only lake I see is the Wallack Pond. Is it the one ?
Did you ever drive to Quebec City. This is a must to see, particularly this year since the city has festivities for their 400th anniversary.
Best,
Serge
PS: I really like the phrase at the bottom of your messages. Very realistic.- Learn from yesterday, work today, and enjoy success tomorrow -

Good Morning Serge,
Yes it is Wallace Pond, Lac Wallace, etc. My cottage is just beyond Frontiere Lodge going towards Coaticook. I'll post some pics next week. Lots of farm country in that neck o' the woods and the deer are plentiful.
Many years ago at the age of nine I spent a week in Quebec City with my parents. We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac and roamed throughout the Old City. I've been back several times over the years and am looking forward to going back to enjoy the 400th.
I will fast the week before in preparation of all the great food!

Good Morning Bob,
I will look forward to seeing the pics of your cottage, and probably the surroundings. It is great to have a retreat for week-ends and vacations, isn't it ?
I agree with you, Quebec City is a place for good food. And women are quite pretty too, particularly in summer ! When I walk in the Old City I have the feeling to be in Europe. And when I walk in the Old City of Montreal, I have the feeling to be in Quebec City. And when I walk in the Old Port of Montreal, I feel in vacations. My best friend Marcelle lives in Quebec City (old Beauport, near Momorency Falls). We try to see each other at least once a year, either in Quebec City or in Montreal, which is closer to me.
I knew about the signature for the bottom of messages. I meant that I liked the wording of yours. It is really "sharp".

Oups ! I forgot to thank you for your comments about my web site. Feedbacks are too rare ! It's real fun to build a web site and very exciting to imagine woodworkers finding something new and getting excited too. I always liked to share my knowledge as I always liked to find something new. As my deceased sister used to say; "No man is an island".

How ya been Bob? Ive been hanging out with the fhb men. Been working on a few finish basement jobs lately- had to go were the $ takes me. Now I'm back in the shop for about 6 months
Lou
Hey Lou,
Still RASing about here! Long time no hearing from you. Hope all is well with you and yours. How's the new woodshop coming along?
Mine is evolving into a 3 room affair; one for wood storage/rough prepping of stock out over the garage. The RAS will be moving out there from what's becoming the power tool room for machining/milling. Since the lady of the house doesn't want any more living space I plan on making a new hand tool shop area. Works for me!

The new shop went well, Still have some things to do. Nothing is fixed so i can make some changes in the future. The oneida's been mounted but no pipe yet, cause I want to make some changes, so I've been using my old one. Upsets me to se it sittin there. My boys turned two and its hard to get any extra time to work on my off-time shop work. There alot of work but good fun too. They both want to be in the shop esspecially matthew!! I like it ,but its a pain during the day when I need to meet my deadlines. You now how it is- the shops never gonna be complete there will allways be that one more thing to do.
Heres a pic of the boys hangin in the shop. Dont worry all the power tools are hooked up to a cut-off breaker box so all power to machines is OFF.
Hope I resized it right
Good talking to ya, Lou
Lou,
Well those two look like they might terrorize fathers when they get older. :-) Better enjoy whilst they're still young - won't be long before they'll be borrowing the family wheels for a night out.
Man, where did you get that combo jointer and drill press? Can't say as I've ever seen one o' them before! Woodshops are like old houses - there's always room for improvement/change......... To me that's a lot of the fun in woodworking.
Uh, didn't notice the RAS anywhere!?
Regards,Bob @ Kidderville Acres

Bill, Did not hook up the ras yet!!! I had to move the jointer, I was shaping some long bar rail this weekend.
Good talkin to ya, Lou
This might be worth checking out. http://www.tools-plus.com/porter-cable-310.htmlI ordered one a few months ago based on John White's recommendation on this list, and I am DELIGHTED! What a great tool. Some of the best tool money I ever spent.I just tested mine and it accepts all the standard PC bushings.Bob
Thanks Bob. I agree with you, the P-C 310 is the best on the market. But it's the most expensive. And since I'm not a professionnal I went for the second best, the Colt from Bosch (single speed model). I took a peak on your link and I must admit they are cheaper on your side of the border. At $159 this side, I sure would go for it. I already own a Craftsman rotary tool and a Colt, and with a cheap trimmer that accept P-C bushings, I believe I'll be okay! Thanks again.

thanks for the info.
Control and collar option.
Hey thanks for the link.
I just picked up a Colt and am planning on getting an offset base. His comment about the vibrations on high speed are true. I am a little
disappointed in that, but all in all it's a very nice tool.
THANKS FOR THE TIP. I JUST PLACED MY ORDER
