I just bought a new Bosch router. It doesn’t come with an edge guide so I’m ordering one. I never bought a router that didnt come with an edge guide before, even if it wasnt a very good one at least there was one. Are there different versions available from Bosch and if so what’s a good one?
They have there own system for template guides, a special adapter and lock in guides but I have many screw in template guides that fit my Porter Cable routers and some have been specially adapted to do certain things I do. I’d like to be able to use them with the new router. Does anyone know if I order their guide bushing set if my screw in guides can be used with their system?

You can use this template guide adapter set shown here:
https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/router-guides-ra1129-178103-p/
This works with the Porter Cable style guide bushing with the screw-on locking ring. The set comes with both the quick change adaptor (which can be used with Bosch specific quick change template guides) and the RA1100 interface which uses the the Porter Cable style guide bushings.
The only fence Bosch sells to my knowledge is the Deluxe Router Guide.

The deluxe fence works well.. I not sure if the rod spacing is Bosch specific or an industry standard. If you have a fence that uses rods, like a Dewalt DW6913, it may work.. or it may not I don't know for sure...
I have the deluxe router guide. It's much better than the basic guide some routers are bundled with.
Most come with a " standard" guide and then offer a deluxe version as an option. Seems Bosch just skips to the "deluxe" option which I would think makes it the standard guide or just " the guide" since they don't offer anything less. Anyway, ordering a bunch of stuff.
I have one of those two part inlaying bushings and was having trouble with it in my PC . A wasn't fitting into B properly. When I looked at it and by eye I could see that the bit was NOT in the center. I have several PC bases and a stack of subbases, some I made, maybe one of those will center, I dont know.I like that the Bosch subbase can be adjusted and have ordered the set up for that. The rod diameter is larger than my PC s by the way and the spacing is wider as well. Not as wide as my old arthritic Hitachi plunge router. There is no standard. I have maybe a dozen routers, all from a former century. This one looks pretty spiffy. I haven't turned it on yet, which by the way ,I discovered, cannot be turned on if it is not locked into its base. Germans!
+1 for the Bosch Deluxe edge guide...it's a solid, robustly built model with a nice wide, easy sliding bearing surface.
Also, I have both a set of the Bosch template guides (they SUCK!!) and an adapter for the traditional "porter cable" style screw-in guides. This is the way to go. But, as AJG1942 points out above...you need a two-part set to make this work on your Bosch. The first part screws into the base plate of the router and has a spring loaded lever to hold the second part...then you seat the two part "PC style guide collar and Ring." I love the bosch motors! Strong, soft starting, variable speed, replaceable brushes, etc...and the price is nice. Especially compared to festool. But the incompatibility is a bear.
