I bought a Bosch1617EVS about 18 months ago and am running it in a small bench dog router table.
It went out about two months after it was new (bearings).I do not use it all that much because I have other routers (PC) and use them in an upright operating position.
I was routing some simple threw flutes on some columns today and as I turned it off there was the same sound coming from the inverted Bosch.
I thought the bosch was to be used as (Industrial) Router??
I have other Bosch tools and have had no Problems with them.
Has any one else had problems with this router mounted in a vertical position?
Remember there are very few hours on this router.
Thanks Jimmy

Do you use dust collection or do all the chips just drop into the housing and foul the bearing? How about proper insert ot throat plates?
Maybe you got a bad one, or the housing is defective or scored in one way or another.
Yes I used the vac and throat plate.
