I am about to embark on building the Arts & Crafts-style bed described here: https://www.finewoodworking.com/2017/02/08/arts-crafts-bed.
I am curious what I need to do to avoid warping / cupping / wood movement in general? I was told I should consider first ripping and glueing the lumber to relieve strain, etc to help avoid movement.
I am working with 4/4 and 5/4 kiln-dried quartersawn white oak. Any advice or sources of information on the subject would be most appreciated!

Quartersaw is extremely stable. And most of the parts in that bed are pretty narrow, so there won't be much trouble. The only thing I would do concerns the wide center panel in the head and foot board. Make the mortise a little wider tgan tgge ten on, Maybe a quarter inch on each side. Glue only the center of the tenon, and pin it with a dowel.
Thanks for your thoughts John_C2.
