Hi All,
Someone who owns a Powermatic 64A “Artisan” tablesaw can maybe answer this.
When tuning this saw so that the blade is parallel to the miter gauge slots, is the adjustment accomplished the way it is on the Delta contractor’s saw? The method on that saw is to loosen the bolts that hold the rear trunnion bracket to the tabletop and then move the carriage relative to the top. Or is this adjustment done a different way on the PM 64A?
This is for a student who has this saw. The owner’s manual she showed me was worthless.
Thanks in advance.

Bill - The PM64a is very similar to the construction of the Delta, GI, Grizzly, Jet, Bridgewood, etc. The method you described should do the trick as long as the rods aren't twisted.
You might consider adding a set of alignment "PALS" while at it...They're about $20 from Woodcraft or Inline Industries.
I own this saw and that is the method for aligning it. The PALS mentioned above are worth every penny They make the alignment process so much easier.
Thank you both. This is what I expected. I told my student already about the PALS, and will repeat the information when we speak next.Bill
