Veritas - Veritas Fast-Action Hold-Down
The clamping pressure is comparable to traditional holdfastsQuick Clamping Anywhere on Your Bench
A holdfast is a wonderful accessory, giving you the means to clamp a workpiece anywhere you have a dog hole in your bench. Traditional holdfasts require a mallet blow to set and release the clamping pressure, but the new Veritas holddown secures work with a cam-action lever.
Simply place the ribbed post of the hold-down in a 3⁄4-in. dog hole, position the leather-padded clamping head against your stock, and engage the cam lever. The stock is held firmly until the cam lever is released.
The Veritas hold-down works well. The clamping pressure is comparable to traditional holdfasts, and it is quicker and more convenient to use.
