This table was commissioned by a couple in Florida who found my website looking for a true shaker trestle table. After meeting with them, we decided on this design and cherry was the wood of choice. The cross brace was mortised into the uprights because the customer did not like the keyed, through mortise she’d seen on other tables. The uprights also have a slight curve to the outside edges, another specific request from the customer.

My favorite glue bottle is a ketchup dispenser. Inexpensive and you can cut the tip to customize glue distribution. If you always put the cap back on, it never clogs.
