Colonial Hutch

I began construction of this hutch in late 2007 for my wife and finally completed it a couple of days ago in time for our 20th anniversary. I took design elements from several pieces, but was mostly influenced by Glen Huey and Martin Milkovits.
Hutch is made from maple and dyed with my own blend of aniline dye to get the antique look I wanted. Two coats of shellac were followed by four coats of lacquer and then rubbed out to a satin sheen.
