Tiger Maple 2-Drawer Stand
This tiger maple 2-drawer stand borrows design elements from an antique stand originating from the Greenville, SC area. It has octagonal ovolo legs that transition with thumbnail carving into square tapers. The drawers and case sides are cock-beaded. The drawer escutcheons are set into diamond-shaped black walnut inlay. The stand top features a single piece of highly figured tiger maple. Drawers are hand dovetailed and case/legs are secured with mortise/tenon joinery. Hide glue was used for all joints.
