Sculpted Rocking Chair – This chair is built from the first Walnut I salvaged, sawmilled, dried and finally worked into this beautiful chair. My teacher was Hal Taylor, who of course designed his chair with influence by Sam Maloof. Ive been influenced by an untold number of wodworkers and designers, thank you all! This is a great chair, fun to build, great to sit in & look at, and built to last generations. 

I’ve taken the seat to the next level by vacuum bagging 3 layers together to create the inlayed contrast from some beautiful Curly Maple.
