Oak Leaf Theme, Dining Table

The theme of this dining table is based on the fall season with oak leaves and acorns. The table size is 31″ tall x 51″ wide x 93″long. Designing and making this table took me a little over 1,800 hours, which is the most time I have ever spent on one piece of furniture. This piece was very enjoyable to make there were times where I felt like I was never going to get done. This table really has some blood, sweat and tears involved in making and completing.
The marquetry on the top and aprons have a total of 1,667 different pieces of veneer with 16 different kinds of domestic and exotic veneers. The legs and trim are all made out of Genuine Mahogany.
Now I am off to making the eight oak theme dining chairs which has a ton of carving, which I am really looking forward to.
