Teak Dest

This desk was partially inspired by the amazing plank of teak that went into making it. I wanted to showcase the amazingly straight and even grain. The drawer stack on the left has a bow to the front of it created by using bent laminations for the drawer fronts., and the back panel has a bow to match. The drawer on the right is meant to mimic an apron.
Drawer boxes are made of white oak, everything is finished with a garnet shellac polish.

Very nice. I like the clean lines. Good use of the material color and grain. You could have finished it with a water clear finish like water based varnish to get a different look. But your choice is quite nice.
