Candlepin-Leg and Danish Cord Seat Bench

Turner designed this bench while designing a bed that appeared in Readers Gallery in 2012 (“Shiner Bed,” FWW #232). He borrowed the candlepin leg design from the bed and incorporated a Danish-cord seat–his first time using the material–for a light and natural look. The bench (18 in. deep by 63 in. wide by 19 in. tall) has ash legs, hickory stretchers, and ebony pins and is finished with tung oil.
