Woodworker: John Frame
This lidded box in ebony, basswood, and holly is a departure from John Frame’s typical style. Collectors asked the wood sculptor to create this piece to house a set of heirloom silver flatware. Frame covered the box top with a low-relief carving and inscribed a Chinese proverb on the side panel. For more images of his work visit www.johnframesculpture.com.
