Coffee Table

Woodworker: Peter Turner
Though the Shakers had no use for coffee tables, Turner crafted this table in the Shaker style. With a few modifications, such as a frame-and-panel top replacing traditional breadboard ends and the addition of gently tapered legs, Turner’s cherry table meets the Shaker design criterion of simplicity. The piece is finished with three coats of Livros oil.
