Description: Frame cabinet 32”H x 24”W x 4”D; poplar frame with 1/4″ oak
back panel; acrylic shelves, viewing door and acrylic hinges and locking hasps;
Five acrylic shelve sets ( 3 shelves per set) cut to display 23 PEZ images per
set; total display for 105 PEZ images; finished with Golden Oak stain
and hard waxed. Hanger fastners secured to back for wall hanging.

Did you make the acrylic shelves or did you purchase them?
If you made them, could you explain how you cut the nice edges? If you purchased them, could you let me know the source?

Mike. Sorry for the late reply as I have not logged in to the Gallery. Yes, I made the acrylic shelves, marking the spacing between images, then cutting the groves on a router table. The shelves were fed directly into the tool using a home made sled, and using the fence as a stop. Caution: The shelves must be held securely as the turning router tool tends to pull the shelves in the direction of tool rotation. Also, I taped 3 to 4 shelves together for cutting.

Answer: I cut the acrylic shelf strips to size, then made the figure cut outs on a router table, feeding the strips perpendicular into the rotating bit, holding the strips tight against the bit thrust. For production efficiency I tied 3 to 4 strips together with masking tape.
