A pair of round tables was made for the family room for the holidays. The table is 24 inches high x 18″ diameter. The top is made of 10 sections of oak segmented into a ring. The center is MDF with oak burl verneer and a ring of cherry inlay. The cherry was steam bent. The shelf (16 inch dia.) is of similar design with qtr sawn oak veneer in a qtr matched pattern. The apron was made from 3/8 inch bending plywood and covered with oak veneer. The bottom edge of the apron is segmented African Mahogany. The top is designed to twist off to reveal a hidden compartment. The tables were dyed with a aniline dye and finished with polyurethane.
