I’m buying a router soon and was curious what many of you thought is the best brand for bits?

I have had very good results with Bosch bits also.

I used to do commercial remodeling and was the company "finish" carpenter. That wasn't particularly meaningful if you knew the competition. Anyway, I recently went through my stash of old router bits to be resharpened "some day". Lots of manufacturers to choose from: Freud, Bosch, etc. and found the only ones still actually worth resharpening, as in not chipped or worse, were the Whiteside ones. They all got the same thoughtless treatment in those days so to my mind Whiteside is king.

I started my collection of bits in Whiteside. About 7 years ago, I switched to CMT to try and save some money. It was a big mistake. I have several CMT "sets" where the positive bit and negative bit (cope and stick, radius bits, etc....)don't match well. I've got one set of kitchen door cope and stick bits that are almost impossible to get a good fit with.
I switched back to Whiteside, and realized what I was missing immediately. They're pricey, but worth it in the long run.

Yes, I do work for one of these two companys and would use either bit, and I do. Eagle America or Whiteside.

Whiteside, Infinity, and Freud are my "best". CMT, Price Cutter (black), and Katana are my "better". Holbren, Woodcraft, MLCS, and Grizzly are my "good".
Here's how FWW rated them.

I checked up on the Whiteside bit prices on Amazon and they're not that bad. Some of the same sized bits are 25% cheaper than the Bosch's at Lowes. And most of them ship for free. I had considered the Bosch bits over the Whitesides since Lowes is just a quick zip down the road from me. But after most of the reviews, I don't think I'll mind waiting to have the Whiteside bits shipped.
Thanks for your help.
FWIW, Holbren offers the Whitesides with free shipping and a 10% discount to forum members of SMC, Woodnet, and BT3Central... possibly others .... :)
I recently got my first set of PRC's through Pat Warner. The quality is very high. Pat is easy to work with.
PRC.
According to Fine Woodworking's tool test a few years back, the best router bits are from infinity and whiteside. The router bits from Lee Valley came in second as most accurate in run-out. Overall, try Infinity and if it dosen't work, try Lee Valley.

FWW did a test some 8 years ago, but also did one within the last year, so it's fairly recent.
whiteside, lee valley
