I’m putting some recessed lights under open sheves in a wall unit. Aside from the slightly cooler temp. of the xenon bulbs, is there any significant difference between xenon and halogen lights? Is the color of light more preferable with one type over the other? Is one more prone to trouble?
Thanks,
Alan

based on what I see in car headlights, xenon lights emit light that is more blue/purple than that from halogen globes. This could be very important if you are displaying things on the shelves.
Yeah, those headlights are blue, but I've used xenon cabinet lights, and they have the same lack of color that halogens have.
